Dr. Augustine Chinedu Ihim is the founder of Reene Medical Diagnostics and a clinical chemist who has spent his career building laboratory capability — both in practice and in the academy.
He qualified in Medical Laboratory Science in 2000, went on to complete a master's in Chemical Pathology in 2012, and earned his doctorate in Chemical Pathology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2020 — more than two decades working in diagnostic laboratory medicine.
At Nnamdi Azikiwe University he is a Reader in Clinical Chemistry and pioneer Head of the Department of Clinical Chemistry within the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science, Nnewi Campus. He previously served as Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science and as Dean of the Faculty, and has coordinated postgraduate study in the Chemical Pathology specialty since 2021.
He has co-authored over 100 scientific publications in international journals, and founded Reene Medical Diagnostics to bring that same standard of laboratory rigour to patients in Onitsha and across Anambra State.
